Duel Rules

Head-to-head Ludo with a 5-minute match timer.

Match format

  • Two players compete in one match.
  • Match time is 5 minutes.
  • Each turn has a 12-second turn timer.
  • Three skipped turns count as leaving the match. Quitting also counts as a skip/leave event for settlement purposes.

Dice and extra turns

  • A six grants an extra turn.
  • A kill grants an extra turn.
  • Finishing a token grants an extra turn.
  • Two consecutive sixes are allowed. A third consecutive six is invalid.

Scoring and safety

  • Each valid board step moved adds 1 point.
  • When a token is killed, the points accumulated by that token are lost.
  • A finished token receives the configured finish scoring treatment; current standard scoring doubles its token score.
  • Safe cells protect tokens. Stacked tokens on a protected stack are safe under the current rules.

Time-up fairness

  • When time expires, the current turn is allowed to finish.
  • Turns are equalized so one player does not receive an unfair extra turn.
  • In Duel, the player who started the match is not allowed to become the finisher solely because of the time-up turn order advantage.

Settlement

  • If neither player makes a move, both entries are refunded.
  • If one player makes no move, both entries are refunded.
  • If both players have moved, the match settles by recorded score under the server-authoritative result.
  • Score ties use the configured score-then-position tie rule.
  • A match that cannot properly start for more than the configured stuck-start window is refundable; the current standard threshold is 45 seconds.
  • The winner receives the distributable winner amount shown before entry after any configured platform fee.
